Munduk is a village located on the slopes of the northern hills of Bali. It has a population of 7,388 people (2016 data). The village is currently developing its tourism sector, as shown by the increasing number of homestays, hostels, and luxury hotels in Munduk. Its untouched and remote location, far from the city center, makes it a perfect place to stay for those seeking tranquility.
The temperature in Munduk depends on the weather, but it is recommended to visit during the summer season, from June to October, which is considered the best time to explore. Most activities here are outdoor adventures, such as trekking to waterfalls, jungle trekking in virgin forests, canoeing, and visiting beautiful temples around the lakes.

- Limited Public Transort
In Munduk, we don’t have public transportation like in other cities in Bali. Online taxis sometimes don’t work here due to the distance from the city center. I recommend renting a scooter to visit tourist attractions around Munduk, as the distances between places can be quite far. Another option is hiring a local driver for a one-day tour in Munduk. If you only want to visit the waterfalls, you can simply walk from your hotel in Munduk.
